Lian's Spirit by Bumbeldi
Project Log: Here
Lian Li has been the modder's friend almost since PC modding came into existence and Bumbeldi's project, which was posted in our forums in April, is yet another interesting case mode involving one of the company's latest models.
As per usual the case was stripped out to make way for some additional parts to improve the eye candy factor. This included a transparent acrylic mid-section, which looks like it will play a big part later on with the various water-cooling components.
Some of the most impressive custom-made components on show are the mid-section mounts and guide rails for the removable motherboard tray - these have been fashioned out of clear perspex.
On the left above is a fantastic-looking part that Bumbeldi calls a cable comb, which is designed to clamp the cables of the 24-pin ATX connector into a neat group. We can't wait to see this in action and the same goes for these compression fitting-based tubing pass-throughs.
In some of the more recent updates to the project log, Bumbeldi made a sleek-looking hard disk cage too, which has already been installed into the case.
Lian's Spirit is sure to look fantastic when it's completed, so make sure you check it out over the coming weeks. Plus, if it's your favourite project this month, head over to the
forum to vote for it.
